IMM Cologne 2014
The spatial installation `spinney´ consists of 144 flexible acrylic glass sticks, that are positioned in a grid of 0,4 m and fill the entire stand. Each pole holds a fluorescent acrylic glass plate at a different hight to create an iridescent surface, rising from 0.6 to 2 meters. The visitors are invited to roam through the narrow corridors and discover the randomly spread quotes about movement. Thereby the surface becomes animated and generates a vibrant exhibition. The flexible sticks shift the plates into different positions and inclinations, creating random compositions of fluorescent lines. The stand doesn´t need any electricity and light sources, it works solely by collecting the ambient light of the exhibition hall.
